It is made of a black silk fabric, with jet beaded trim appliques and a pleated black sheer silk chiffon fabric sides. This stunning short cropped cloak cape capelet dolman mantle has black silk ribbon bow trim down the front with hook closures and is fully lined with a white silk fabric weighted along the bottom inside. The cape measures 19 inches long, with a 36 inch bust. It is in good as-is condition, with a few brown rust stains under the beadwork in areas and the silk lining inside has several frayed splits (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana mourning wearable art!
