It is hand stitched, made of a black silk crepe fabric, with a colorful pastel floral, trees, crane bird silk screen design along the bottom front.

This vintage Japanese geisha formal family crest mon black silk screen floral kimono dates from the Showa Period 1930s. It is hand stitched, made of a black silk crepe fabric, with a colorful pastel floral, trees, crane bird silk screen design along the bottom front. This fabulous formal Japanese senior geisha kimono has a five mon emblems family crest along the top and back of the neck (see close-up). It is fully lined in a contrasting red silk fabric. The kimono measures 62 inches long, with 27 inch long kimono sleeves and is 25 inches across the shoulders. It is in good condition, with only a small rip along the seam of the bottom inside lining. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Japanese textile art!
