This antique vintage Chinese black silk embroidered peony flower, butterfly robe and camisole dates from the 1940s. It is made of a black silk fabric, with colorful hand embroidery work, with a variety of flowers, vases and butterflies. This stunning short surcoat style robe jacket is a mid length, with long full sleeves, colorful silk damask brocade trim edging, black button toggle closures down the front and is fully lined in a black silk damask floral pattern brocade fabric inside. The robe measures 31 inches long, with a 60 inch waist and 50 inch bust. Included is a camisole top made from the matching robe embroidered fabric, fully lined and has a side zipper closure. The top measures 24 inches long, with a 32 inch waist and 32 inch bust. It is in good condition, with only a couple of tiny pin holes on the camisole top. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable antique Chinese art!
