It is made of a sheer white cotton batiste fabric, with a broderie anglaise eyelet embroidery cutwork whitework lace.

This antique Victorian era white cotton batiste broderie anglaise eyelet embroidery cutwork lace dress dates from 1900. It is made of a sheer white cotton batiste fabric, with a broderie anglaise eyelet embroidery cutwork whitework lace. This lovely ladies lace lawn dress is a long floor length, with lace trim yoke collar neckline, 3/4 length sleeves, a fitted waistband, hook closures down the back and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 52 inches long, with a 26 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good as-is condition, having been altered with an added bottom skirt hemline trim, patched, reinforced added skirt panel on back to be made larger and several small breaks in the lace collar yoke (see close-ups). This would be wonderful for design and could be reworked. Truly a beautiful piece of antique Victoriana wearable art!
