This antique Victorian Civil War era purple and blue ombre stripe silk hoop skirt gown dress dates from the 1860s. It is made of a purple, blue and black ombre iridescent striped silk taffeta fabric. This stunning striped dress has a long floor length full hoop skirt (hoop not included underneath), with attached fitted bodice top, long layered full sleeves, brown velvet trim, faux button trim with hidden hook closures underneath down the front, side skirt pockets with a bundle of extra dress fabric wrapped inside and is fully lined. The dress measures 57 inches long, with a 28 inch waist, 36 inch bust and 19 inch sleeve. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana textile art!
