This vintage Edwardian era embroidered pastel flowers cream net batiste lace dress gown dates from 1915. It is made of an off white cream color net and sheer batiste fabric, with decorative stitching hand embroidery work, colorful pastel flowers and lace trim. This lovely lace dress gown has a long full floor length layered tiered skirt, smocking around the waistband, a layered sleeveless top, V necklines, hook closures down the back and is fully lined in net and cotton batiste. The dress measures 49 inches long, with 44 inch hips, a 30 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned with a few small faint age spot stains and has a few small holes on the lining inside and net overskirt. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique textile wearable art! |
