It is made of a peachy pink pastel color sheer fine silk chiffon devore style fabric, with a colorful burnout, raised embossed abstract paisley floral design pattern.

This amazing Art Deco vintage peach paisley devore burnout silk chiffon cape shawl dates from the 1920s. It is made of a peachy pink pastel color sheer fine silk chiffon devore style fabric, with a colorful burnout, raised embossed abstract paisley floral design pattern. This magnificent long rectangle shape scarf stole shawl is reminiscent of Liberty & Co. London & Paris which has been synonymous with luxury and great design. It was one of the first to embrace the Art Nouveau style and Oriental fabrics. They became known for their artistic textiles and soft color palette referred to as "Liberty colors". The shawl measures 80 inches long and 39 inches wide. It is in excellent condition, with only two tiny frayed holes near the edging (see close-up). This is truly an extraordinary piece of Art Deco textile art!
