It is made of a blue and gold metallic lamé thread woven fabric in an abstract geometric square cube pattern design. There is a dark navy blue silk satin fabric border edging, skirt and collar trim.

This vintage Art Deco navy blue silk gold lamé flapper opera coat cape cloak dates from the 1920s. It is made of a blue and gold metallic lamé thread woven fabric in an abstract geometric square cube pattern design. There is a dark navy blue silk satin fabric border edging, skirt and collar trim. This fabulous flapper opera coat has a cape cloak style, with attached capelet creating dolman sleeves, a fold over lapel collar, drop waist, button front waist closure, flared skirted bottom and is fully lined in a golden yellow silk fabric which is frayed inside. The coat measures 41 inches long, with a 44 inch bust and 44 inch waist. It is in as-is fair condition, with fraying along the shoulders and some tiny frayed pulls on the silk trim and collar (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile art in need of some minor restoration!
