1940s Vintage Susan Garber Originals Beige Gabardine Suit Jacket Pencil Skirt
This vintage Susan Garber Originals beige gabardine suit jacket, pencil skirt dates from the 1940s. It is made of a pale brownish yellowish beige color gabardine fine wool fabric. This stunning tailored womens suit jacket has a cutaway bottom front, with button flap pockets, a skirted back, fold over collar, long full sleeves, fabric covered square dice shaped stitched buttons down the front for closure and is fully lined. There is a "Susan Garber Originals" designer label and "O'Neil's" store label sewn inside. The jacket measures 17 inches long in the front, 23 inches long in the back, with a 28 inch waist, 36 inch bust and 24 inch long sleeves. There is a matching fabric pencil skirt, with fitted decorative V stitched waist, side zipper closure, unlined and falls slightly below the knee. The skirt measures 32 inches long, with 40 inch hips and a 25 inch waist. The two piece suit is in good condition, with only a few tiny pin head size age spot stains on the sleeve and collar. This is truly a unique design and quality made piece of wearable art!
