This vintage Albion Knitting Mills Award sportswear letterman school sweater dates from 1940. It is made of a dark purple color 100% wool knit fabric. There are a variety of school pins, and RAF wings pin attached, including one dated 1940. This mens sportswear letterman school sweater has a cardigan button front closure style, with long sleeves, ribbed rolled cuffs, V neck, front pockets, two white stripes band woven around the arm, an embroidered wool purple patch star and letter C appliqué. There is an "Albion Award Sweater Albion Knitting Mills Los Angeles" size Medium label sewn inside. The sweater measures 30 inches long, with a 34 inch waist, 34 inch chest, 22 inch long sleeves and 17 1/2 inch back shoulders. It is in good as-is condition, with several small moth nip holes scattered about and chamois underarm pads sewn inside. This is truly a wonderful piece of school varsity knit wearable art! $100 |
