This antique Victorian era taupe tweed wool striped ribbon trim wrapper morning dress robe dates from the 1860s. It is made of a grayish beige brown taupe color tweed woolen woven twill textured fabric, with shades of brown, blue and cream striped ribbon trim edging. This womens winter workwear wrapper morning dress robe is a long floor length, with a pleated back, high band collar, long full sleeves with fitted cuffs, an open front with two hook closures on the top and is fully lined in a heavy cotton twill fabric inside. The dress measures 50 inches long, with a 48 inch waist, 44 inch bust and 22 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with a small mended repair on the back top and a few small frayed holes on the inside lining. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana workwear wearable textile art!
