This antique Victorian era yellow silk black burnout voided velvet devore Chantilly lace bodice dates from 1880. It is made of a luxurious yellow silk and black voided cut velvet burnout devore fabric, with a fancy baroque floral design and a black Chantilly lace undershirt. This beautiful bodice has a short cropped top blouse style, with a sheer black Chantilly lace lining underneath, short lace sleeves with gold metallic thread stitching, ruffle cuffs, a high lace trimmed neckline and a scalloped edging open back with no closure. The top measures 16 inches long, with a 24 inch waist and 34 inch bust. It is in good as-is condition needing some minor restoration, with a few frayed small holes in the lace and on the yellow silk fabric (see close-up). This is truly an extraordinary piece of antique Victoriana textile art which would be great for design!
