This vintage Edwardian era black wool bathing beauty sailor suit swimsuit dress and bloomers dates from 1910. It is made of a black fine wool woven fabric, with white stripe trim edging. This wonderful women's old fashioned bathing suit one piece romper swimsuit has a sailor collar, short sleeves, bloomer pantaloon pants with gathered leg cuffs, button front closures and is sheer, unlined. The swimsuit measures 50 inches long, with a 13 inch inseam, 40 inch waist and 38 inch bust. Attached around the waist with buttons is a matching fabric over skirt with elastic waistband and it measures 24 inches long, with a 30 inch waist. The bathing suit is in good as-is condition, with frayed holes on the front pants which is covered by the skirt (see close-up). This antique authentic "bathing beauty" costume is truly a rare and wonderful piece of wearable art!
