This vintage Century of Boston cotton twill butterfly artichoke novelty print circle skirt dates from the 1950s. It is made of heavy cotton twill woven fabric with varying shades of green, black and white done in a novelty print design of butterflies, artichokes, clocks, cherries, bee hives and hanging pears. This unique retro long circle skirt has a side zipper, button waistband closure and is unlined. There is a "Century of Boston" label sewn inside. The skirt measures 33 inches long, with a 26 inch waist. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned and has a small stain near the top (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of vintage textile art!
