This vintage sheer black silk net cobweb lace backless bias cut evening gown dress dates from the 1930s. It is made of a sheer black silk net fine cobweb lace fabric, with a leaf like, circular pattern design. This lovely lace dress has a form fitting bias cut, sleeveless, backless, with a shawl collar front overlay, draping panels hanging down the back over the shoulders, a long floor length skirt with full ruffle bottom, no side opening closure and is sheer completely unlined. The dress measures 62 inches long, with 30 inch hips, a 24 inch waist and 32 inch bust, with some stretch give to the fabric. It is in fair as-is condition, needing some minor restoration, with a hole on the front skirt and a small frayed open side seam (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable lace textile art!
