This vintage Art Deco navy blue and pink silk gold embroidered dress and jacket outfit dates from the 1920s. It is made of a navy blue and pink silk fabric, with gold metallic embroidery trim edging and decorative Asian inspired characters on the collar. This loose fitting drop waist sailor style, sleeveless dress has a large triangle shape fichu collar with wide lapel point front, small gold lamé trim front insert and is unlined. The dress measures 40 inches long, with a 36 inch waist and 36 inch bust. There is a matching fabric navy blue jacket, loose fitting, with an open front, wrap around sash strap waistband with snap closures, long sleeves with pink silk gold trim cuffs and is unlined. The jacket measures 21 inches long, with a 30 inch waist, 36 inch bust and 22 inch long sleeves. It is in poor as-is condition, unfortunately unwearable, with damage, frayed splits shattering on the dress back, collar, shoulders and under arm stains (see close-up). The jacket is in good condition and perhaps the dress could be reworked into something new. This is truly a wonderful piece of Art Deco textile art which would be great for design and inspiration!
