This vintage Edwardian Titanic era embroidered French knot batiste filet lace lawn dress tea gown dates from 1912. It is made of a sheer white tulle net, cotton batiste lawn fabric, with white raised padded satin stitch embroidery, French knots, whitework done in a floral design, with filet ace trim inserts and silk button trim accents. This lovely lace lawn dress tea gown is a long floor length with a layered tiered style , net lace trim yoke neckline, 3/4 length sleeves, weighted overskirts, black trimmed net ruffle pleated hemline, hook snap closures down the back (some missing) and is fully lined. The dress measures 59 inches long, with a 24 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in fair as-is condition, needing some restoration, with several small frayed holes scattered in areas and sleeve damage (see close-ups). Great for design! This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable antique lace art which could be worn as a wedding or graduation dress!
