This vintage Livingston Brothers black silk velvet polka dot drop waist pleated skirt dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black sheer silk chiffon fabric with large black velvet polka dot appliques. This classic black dress has a loose fitting drop waist style, with an asymmetrical front neckline, side neck scarf bow trim, long full sleeves with fitted cuffs, an attached belted tie front, pleated skirt and is fully lined with a black silk slip sewn inside. There is a "Livingston Brothers, Inc. Seattle, San Francisco" store label sewn inside. The dress measures 45 inches long, with a 36 inch waist, 46 inch bust and 25 inch long sleeves. It is in fair as-is condition with fade discoloration, several small faint stains on the front top and on the bottom skirt hemline (see close-ups). It would be great for design. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile art!
