It is made of an off white cream color sheer battenburg tape lace with connecting thread picot ornamented bars, decorative spiral, floral, leaf, scroll work designs and scalloped lace trim edging.

This exquisite antique Edwardian era cream battenburg tape lace long coat jacket dates from 1910. It is made of an off white cream color sheer battenburg tape lace with connecting thread picot ornamented bars, decorative spiral, floral, leaf, scroll work designs and scalloped lace trim edging. This lovely lace coat jacket is long below the knee length, with a loose fitting full wrap style, an open front with no closure, long full sleeves with flared wide cuffs and is sheer, unlined. The coat measures 43 inches long, with a 32 inch waist, 36 inch bust and 22 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only a faint small age spot stain on the back and a few small breaks in the lace (see close-up). This is truly an exceptional, quality made piece of wearable antique lace art!
