Vintage Japanese Pink Silk Damask Fan Floral Embroidered Mon Belted Kimono Robe
This vintage Japanese pink silk damask fan floral embroidered mon belted kimono robe dates from the 1920s. It is made of a pink silk damask weave fabric with a fan and leaf pattern design woven into the fabric. There are pastel silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidered rose flowers along the bottom and on the belted tie sash ends. This pretty pink Japanese kimono robe has a white embroidered butterfly medallion mon emblem family crest on both the front and back top, is fully lined with inside pocket, full kimono sleeves, a rolled padded hem and matching fabric tie sash belt for closure. The kimono measures 52 inches long, with 20 inch long kimono sleeves, a 48 inch bust and 48 inch waist. It is in good as-is condition, with several tiny holes on the sleeves and along the sides (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Japanese textile art!
