This vintage cream tulle net French knot embroidered floral lace drop waist dress dates from 1920. It is made of an off white cream color sheer tulle net fabric with raised padded satin stitch, French knot embroidery work done in floral vine leaf designs, cluny bobbin lace trim edging down the center panel front & back, bottom skirt hemline and sleeve cuffs. This lovely lace dress is loose fitting, with a drop waist, short sleeves, squared front neckline with ecru ribbon trim edging and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 46 inches long, with a 36 inch bust and 30 inch waist. It is in fair as-is condition needing some minor restoration and has not been cleaned. There are a few faint small stains, tiny pin holes on the back top, loose stitching around the waist, small open seams under the arms and a small frayed hole at the front waist hidden underneath the lace trim panel (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable lace art!
