Vintage Romanian Hand Embroidery Black & White Lace Beaded Boho Peasant Blouse
This vintage Romanian hand embroidery black and white lace beaded boho peasant blouse dates from the 1950s. It is made of an off white cream color newer nylon fabric, with older black and white cross stitch hand embroidery work front panel pieces and sleeves creating a patchwork style of new and old. There are colorful cross stitch embroidered red and green flowers, bead work accents, silver sequins and cream crochet lace trim. This pretty peasant traditional Romanian bohemian style blouse is loose fitting, with a rounded red crochet lace trim neckline, long full sleeves with flared wide cuffs and is unlined. The top measures 22 inches long, with a 38 inch bust, 38 inch waist and 22 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned, with some faint stains on the nylon fabric and a few missing sequin beads. This is truly a rare and wonderful piece of wearable Romanian peasant textile folk art!
