|
This Edwardian era vintage women's linen travel motoring driving duster coat dates from 1910. It is made of a beige ecru cream color quality linen fabric, with large mother of pearl buttons. This classic women's long loose fitting floor length duster motoring coat jacket has a fold over collar which can be worn turned up with neck strap closure, two deep patch pockets, gathered shoulders, long full sleeves with rolled cuffs, mother of pearl button closures down the front and is unlined. The coat measures 50 inches long, with a 40 inch bust, 40 inch waist, 22 inch long sleeves and is 13 inches across the back shoulder seams. This coat would have been worn to protect ones clothing from the dust and mud when traveling, riding and driving in a motor car. It is in good as-is condition, but has not been cleaned with some faint small stains along the bottom and a scattering of tiny age spots foxing. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable early motoring horseless carriage textile art! $200 |
