Vintage 1920s Cream Tambour Embroidery Lace Silk Rosette Ruffle Drop Waist Dress
This vintage cream tambour embroidery lace silk rosette drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of an off white cream color sheer cotton net fabric with tambour embroidery work flowers on the top and blue silk chiffon, lace trim ruffles along the layered tiered skirt. There are colorful pastel silk ombre wired rosette ribbon work flower trim accents around the neckline, hanging down the back tie sash and along the side hip area. This fabulous flapper dress has a loose fitting straight shift chemise style, with a drop waist, an attached blue chiffon necktie scarf with rosette trim ends hanging down the back, sleeveless, with an open side top, no closure, sheer, unlined and a layered tiered ruffle long tea length skirt. The dress measures 49 inches long, with a 32 inch bust and 32 inch waist. It is in fair as-is condition, has not been cleaned, slightly dingy, with some faint discoloration on the net lace top and several small frayed holes weak areas in the ecru cream silk chiffon fabric inside lining the skirt. This is truly a rare, feminine, delicate piece of wearable lace, rosette art which would be great for design inspiration!
