Vintage Edwardian White Cotton Cluny Bobbin Lace Walking Suit Jacket Blouse Skirt
This vintage Edwardian era white cotton cluny bobbin lace walking suit jacket blouse and skirt dates from 1915. It is made of a white cotton twill fabric, with cluny bobbin lace trim edging and ecru silk floss thread embroidery accents on the belted back jacket and skirt pockets. This sensational summer walking suit includes a mid length tailcoat jacket top with a shorter front, longer sides & back, front side snap closures, a lace trimmed squared front neckline, an attached belted back with button trim, long full sleeves and is unlined. The top measures 25 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 30 inch waist, 18 inch long sleeves and 13 inch back shoulder seam. There is a matching fabric long floor length skirt, with patch pockets, a fitted waistband with side hooks, snaps closures and is unlined. The skirt measures 37 inches long, with a 21 inch waist. It is in good condition, with only some slight faint underarm discoloration. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable textile art!
