Vintage Art Deco Black Silk Gold Lamé Lame Flapper Cloak Cape Shawl Scarf This vintage antique Art Deco black silk gold lamé flapper cloak cape shawl scarf dates from the 1920s.

This vintage antique Art Deco black silk gold lamé flapper cloak cape shawl scarf dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk woven gold metallic lamé thread damask fabric with a reversible lush floral leaf pattern design. This fabulous flapper shawl scarf fabric has a black silk border edging surrounding it and an attached black silk fabric strap inside for perhaps wearing as a cloak cape which is safety pinned on one side. The square shawl measures 59 by 59 inches. It is in good condition, with only some small slight faint tarnish discoloration in areas and a small open seam along the edging trim (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile art!
