This vintage Edwardian era black and white muslin cotton Arts & Crafts embroidered lace dress dates from 1910. It is made of a woven white and black cotton muslin fabric, with an Arts & Crafts movement style embroidery work on the top and cluny torchon bobbin lace trim inserts on the sleeves. This stunning summer dress is a long floor length with a wide black muslin trim hemline, short sleeves. a fitted waistband, mother of pearl button closures hidden down the back and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 58 inches long, with a 40 inch bust and 28 inch waist. It is in good as-is condition, but has not been cleaned, with some small stains on the top, faint underarm stains and a few small frayed pulls on the skirt (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of Arts & Crafts Movement textile wearable art!
