This vintage Edwardian era black and white check linen cluny lace walking suit jacket tailcoat and skirt dates from 1915. It is made of a black and white check pattern fine linen fabric, with an off white cream color cluny bobbin lace trim edging on the top. This charming checkered summer walking suit includes a tailcoat style jacket blouse top longer in the back and sides with a cutaway front, hook closures, gathered shoulders, full flared short sleeves and is unlined. The top measures 26 inches long, with a 36 inch bust and 28 inch waist. There is a matching fabric long full floor length skirt, with bottom pleating, snap closures and added tie on the back and is unlined. The skirt measures 37 inches long, with a 26 inch waist and 48 inch hips. It is in good condition, with slight alteration on the back skirt with added tie and patched gusset. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable textile art!
