This antique pink silk pastel embroidered floral roses Canton Manton Manila piano shawl dates from the 1920s. It is made of pink silk fabric background, with colorful silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work. There are a variety of flowers embroidered throughout with a purplish blue ombre color varying vine leaf designs and a cluster of larger pink roses in two corners with small clusters in the opposite corners. There is a fabulous heavy hand knotted macramé pink silk fringe measuring 22 inches long surrounding the entire shawl with rounded corners. The shawls fabric square measures 62 by 62 inches. This heavy quality made Manton de Manila style Spanish Flamenco shawl was made in Canton China for trade and export. It is in excellent condition. This is truly an exceptional piece of wearable Manton de Manila textile art!
