This vintage brown cotton French knot embroidery boho peasant slip dress and blouse dates from the 1920s. It is made of a orangish light brown color cotton muslin sheer fabric, with brown and yellow raised padded satin stitch, French knot, drawn thread, embroidery work of vine leaf flowers on the top, collar and sleeves. This pretty peasant dress two piece outfit has a loose fitting straight shift style slip dress with a drop waist, short skirt with pleated front, shoulder straps and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 38 inches long, with a 34 inch bust and 32 inch waist. There is a matching fabric shirt blouse with a loose fitting long length, fold over collar V front neckline, long full sleeves with fitted cuffs and is sheer, unlined. The top measures 23 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 36 inch waist and 22 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only a small frayed hole on the front top of the slip dress hidden underneath (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of Hungarian, Czech Bohemian peasant style wearable art!
