Vintage 20s Art Deco Black Silk Colorful Beaded Butterfly Fringed Flapper Dress
This amazing Art Deco vintage black silk colorful beaded butterfly fringed flapper dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk crepe de chine fabric, with black beadwork and colorful beading creating a large beautiful beaded butterfly on both the front and back. There are pearl beaded accents on the back butterfly and black beaded fringe along the sides. This fabulous flapper dress has a loose fitting, drop waist, straight shift style, sleeveless, rounded scoop necklines, beaded fringe side strap draping skirt panels hanging down from the hips, shoulder snaps and is unlined. The dress measures 48 inches long, with a 40 inch bust, 40 inch waist and 40 inch hips. It is in good condition, with only a tiny fray on one shoulder and some loose missing beads. This is truly an exceptional piece of Art Deco wearable beaded textile art!
