This vintage Edwardian era late teens floral print velvet black soutache tassel trim top blouse dates from 1918. It is made of a black velvet background fabric with a colorful floral print pattern and black silk soutache braided trim edging, appliqué tassel trim hanging down the front neckline and back neck. This beautiful blouse top has a squared front neckline trimmed with an embroidered cream net lace, long cream net sheer under sleeves with colorful embroidered edging, black silk wrist band flared cuffs, epaulettes style flared fabric accents on the shoulders, a loose fitting front, gathered fitted back waist, scalloped hemline, front snap closures along the side and is lined with a muted paisley print cotton cami lining with hook closures down the front inside. The top measures 23 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 32 inch waist, 29 inch long sleeve and 12 inch back. It is in good condition, with only some wear, fraying to the silk soutache trim on the front (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
