Silk Embroidered Slipper Shoes. |
This
pair of antique Chinese silk embroidered slipper shoes dates from
the 1920s. They are all hand stitched and made of purple silk with
colorful floral silk embroidery work and black silk trim piping
along the top. These slipper style slip-on shoes have hand stitched
orange cardboard soles and are fully lined in linen with a "Made
in China" label inside. The shoes measure 9 inches long and
2 1/2 inches wide. They are in good clean wearable condition and
have been gently worn. There is a small 1/4 inch rip on the back
top of one shoe which could easily be repaired. These are a beautiful
piece of antique Chinese textile art and would make for a wonderful
display piece. $100 |
