Victorian Wedding White Kid Straight Sole Shoes Front view.

This pair of antique Victorian era wedding white kid heel straight sole shoes date from the 1850s. They are all hand stitched and made of a white kid leather. These ladies slipper shoes have squared toes, straight leather bottom soles with no left or right distinction and a low leather covered French Louis XV high heel. They are lined in linen and leather. The shoes measure 10 inches long, 2 inches wide, with a 1 1/2 inch high heel. They have been gently worn and have some wear and slight discoloration. These delicate wedding slippers were probably reserved for indoor wear, evening dress or special occasions. These are a rare and early find which are a museum deaccession.
