1 French Victorian Brown Black Leather Dainty Half Boot. |
This single antique Victorian era French brown and black leather dainty half boot dates from the 1850s. It is made of a two tone brown and black leather with decorative scalloped cutouts and punch work designs. This ladies dainty ankle length half boot style high-low has brown elastic gusset sides, a squared pointy toe and low stacked wooden heels. The boot measures 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, 7 inches tall, with a 1 inch high heel. It has never been worn, but has some scuffs and cracking on the leather from storage, with a small tear along the top seams (see top photo). This single French ladies boot is a rare and unique example which would be great for display, study or pattern.
