This pair of vintage Daniel Green Comfy burgundy satin slippers shoes date from the 1940s. They are made of a burgundy red color silk satin fabric, with a gathered fabric drape bow trim on the front instep vamps. These classic comfy slippers shoes have an open toe, back heel brace and fabric covered French Louis XV heels. The insoles are embossed "Daniel Green Comfy Slippers" and are stamped on the black bottom soles 240. The shoes measure 9 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 2 inch high heels. My guess on a modern size would be about a size 6 narrow width for today's foot. The shoes are in excellent clean wearable condition and look to have been barely worn.
