This antique Victorian era brown straw silk bow bonnet fancy hat headdress dates from the 1870s. It is made of a decorative scalloped woven brown straw, with a large wired brown silk ribbon bow trim on the top, with a gold tone metal jewel encrusted clasp in the center and floral brown berry trim accents hidden behind. This sweet fancy hat headdress bonnet has a small wired frame and is created in a crescent oval shape worn across the top of the head in the style of a headband. The hat measures 10 inches long and 5 inches wide. It is in good wearable condition, with only some fraying of the silk ribbon bow.
