This vintage natural straw black net wide brim bow sailor hat dates from the 1940s. It is made of a tightly woven natural straw, with a sheer black net veil lining underneath the brim and a black silk ribbon hatband with bow back. This stunning short back sailor style summertime sun hat has an uneven large wide brim, which is narrow in the back and wider in the front. There is a round flat crown and would have been worn tilted upwards exposing the decorative net lining under the brim. The hat measures 21 inches inside crown circumference and has a 4 inch wide brim. It is in excellent wearable condition. $75 |
