This antique Victorian era black beaver felt fur yellow ribbon ostrich feather jet beaded wide brim hat dates from 1900. It is made of a black plush beaver felt fur fabric, with a golden yellow silk ribbon bow hatband, with black jet beaded applique trim on the front and yellow, black ostrich feather plumes on the side cascading down the back. This lovely ladies grand wide brim hat has an upturned rolled brim side, rounded top crown and lined inside crown which would have been secured with hatpin's atop a full Gibson Girl style updo hairdo. The hat measures 26 inches in circumference inside the crown. It is in excellent wearable condition.
