This antique Titanic Edwardian era black straw white ostrich feather oversized wide brim boater hat dates from 1912. It is made of a tightly woven weave black straw, with white fluffy ostrich feather plumes surrounding the crown and a white silk rose flower trim on the front. This lovely ladies beautiful boater style hat has a large oversized wide brim and a large tall round crown. The inside crown has been built up and partially lined in a pleated gathered white silk fabric which would have sat atop a full Gibson Girl style updo hairdo. The hat measures 20 inches inside crown circumference, 60 inches outside, with a 4 inch tall crown and is 32 inches in circumference. It is in excellent wearable condition. This is truly a grand dramatic opulent ladies Titanic era hat!
