This antique Titanic era belle epoque black woven horse hair ostrich feather jet trim wide brim hat dates from 1912. It is made of a wired frame covered with tightly woven black horse hair, a pink velvet, black silk ribbon trim front, black, white and red ostrich feather plumes and a black jet glass beaded trim accent. This beautiful belle epoque exaggerated grand hat has a wide brim and would have sat atop a full Gibson Girl style updo hairdo. It is unlined. The hat measures 23 inches inside crown circumference and 43 inches outside. It is in excellent wearable condition. This is truly a dramatic opulent ladies Titanic era hat! $200 |
