This antique Edwardian Titanic era blue velvet ostrich feather large bell shaped hat dates from 1912. It is made of a dark blue velvet fabric, with pleated gathering on the front crown and blue ostrich feather plumes decorating the top, back and sides. This lovely ladies large over sized hat has a bell shaped style, with a tall round crown, wide brim and would have sat perched atop a large Gibson Girl style hairdo. It is lined in black velvet around the inner crown and black silk inside, with a "Feyl Millinery Troy, NY" label. The hat measures 25 inches inside crown circumference. It is in good wearable condition, with only some slight wear to the velvet brim edging and fraying of the black silk inside lining.
