This antique Victorian era green velvet violet silk flower posy white lace trim bonnet hat dates from the 1880s. It is made of an olive green velvet fabric, with purple violet silk flower posy bouquets on the back and a wired white lace covered winged trim decorating the hat. There is a green velvet tie for securing under the chin and bow trim on the back. The bonnet is fully lined in black cotton with remnants of a silk label inside from New York which is frayed (see close-up). It measures 7 inches wide and is in good condition, with only some slight fraying on the lilac grosgrain silk ribbon bow trim. This pretty petite diminutive tiny bonnet could be worn or used for display and is a rare find!
