This vintage belle epoque Edwardian era red velvet ostrich feather bird trim beret muffin cap hat dates from 1914. It is made of a burgundy red color velvet and silk satin fabric, with red ostrich feather plumes and a black lacquer winged bird trim accent on the front. This renaissance medieval muffin cap style tam beret toque hat is brimless, with a fitted hatband bottom and pleated gathered puffed muffin top. It is fully lined in black silk. The hat measures 24 inches inside crown circumference and 38 inches outside. It is in excellent wearable condition. This is truly a rare red wonderful unique hat!
