This antique Victorian era black and blue silk ribbon ostrich feather lace trim hat dates from the 1880s. It is made of black silk and completely covered with blue & black ostrich feather plumes, blue silk ribbon bows, black chantilly lace and a carved jet glass button trim. The hat has a tall dome shape cloche style, with a slight narrow brim. It is fully lined with a inner shelf rim inside and sat atop a full Gibson Girl style updo hairdo. The hat measures 24 inches inside circumference and is in good condition, with only some slight fade on the blue silk ribbon bow trim. This beautiful bonnet hat could be worn or used for display!
