Vintage Edwardian Blue VelvetThis antique Edwardian era blue velvet gold metallic applique trim ladies fedora hat dates from 1915. It is made of a dark purple violet indigo blue color plush silk velvet fabric, with black silk grosgrain ribbed ribbon ruched trim edging and a large gold metallic lamé applique trim edged in blue silk and black jet faceted glass beading on the front. This unique ladies fedora style hat resembles a men's hat with a small brim and tall crown. It is fully lined in silk with a built up velvet brim siding along the inside crown to sit atop a full Gibson Girl style updo hairdo. The hat measures 22 inches in circumference inside the crown. It is in good wearable condition, with only some minor wear to the velvet nap around the brim and inside lining.
