This antique Titanic Edwardian era brown straw ostrich feather oversized wide brim boater hat dates from 1912. It is made of a tightly woven basketweave reddish brown straw, with shades of brown, orange, white and green fluffy ostrich feather plumes surrounding the crown and a yellow & black feathered bird trim on the front. This lovely ladies beautiful boater style hat has a large oversized wide upturned rolled brim and a large round crown. The inside crown has been built up and partially lined with a brown velvet inner brim which would have sat atop a full Gibson Girl style updo hairdo with hatpins. The hat measures 28 inches inside crown circumference, 55 inches outside. It is in good wearable condition. This is truly a rare, grand dramatic opulent ladies Titanic era traveling hat!
