This vintage Schoen & Co. red orange silk straw ostrich feather wide brim hat dates from 1918. It is made of a reddish orange color silk fabric covered round crown and matching dyed straw brim and silk trim edging. There are large reddish orange ostrich feather plumes decorating the hat. This beautiful belle epoque hat has a uneven wide brim, with a narrow back. It is fully lined in black silk, with a "Schoen & Co. Incorporated Baltimore" label inside. The hat is a large size measuring 23 inches inside crown circumference and is in good wearable condition. This is a wonderful rare red color and piece of wearable art!
