This antique Edwardian Titanic era black velvet feather trim toque traveling hat dates from 1912. It is made of a black silk velvet fabric, with gathering and draping around the robust rotund large circular hat and black feather trim tucked into the front and side. This lovely ladies large over sized brimless toque travel hat would have sat perched atop a Gibson Girl style up do hairdo. It is lined in black silk inside the smaller inner crown. The hat measures 4 inches tall and 42 inches in outer circumference. It is in good wearable condition, with only a few loose missing feathers. This is truly a rare quality made & dramatic grand ladies Titanic era hat!
