This antique Titanic Edwardian era black beaver felt fur feather large wide brim hat dates from 1912. It is made of a black plush beaver felt fur fabric, with large black ostrich feather plumes around the crown and a small purple flower glued onto the back which was added later and is barely attached. This beautiful belle epoque exaggerated grand hat has a wide upturned brim and a large round crown. There is a smaller inner shelf lining inside the crown which would have sat atop a large full Gibson Girl style updo hairdo. There is an "H. Leh & Co. Allentown, PA." department store label inside. The hat measures 33 inches crown circumference, with a 17 inch smaller inner crown and is 60 inches outside. It is in good wearable condition. This is truly a dramatic opulent ladies Titanic era hat!
